I created HealthAccountants.com by Visionary CPA, LLC to bring premium, personalized financial services to entrepreneurs who value integrity, clarity, and sustainable growth. 

My expertise spans healthcare cost accounting at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital—a nationally ranked academic medical center—along with investment accounting at Fortune 100 & insurance companies, where I managed billion-dollar investment portfolios including bonds and commercial mortgages. I also served as an employee at Intuit, the makers of QuickBooks, giving me a deep, insider-level understanding of accounting systems and financial operations. 

I specialize in helping service-based businesses and healthcare professionals stay compliant, confident, and financially empowered—so they can focus on what matters most: serving their clients and patients.

As the child of a 30-year healthcare professional, I was raised in a world where long shifts, emotional labor, and constant service were simply a way of life. I know firsthand how demanding it is to pour into others while trying to keep your own financial systems afloat. That lived experience, combined with my technical training, allows me to serve providers and service-based entrepreneurs with compassion, precision, and deep industry understanding.

I  also hold a Master’s degree in Information Technology, offering a unique combination of technical and financial expertise. A proud member of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)—the highest international honor society for business graduates—she is recognized for her academic excellence and leadership. She currently serves on the National Delegate Team for Girl Scouts of the USA, representing her council nationally and advocating for expanded leadership and STEM opportunities for girls.

Deeply committed to community impact, Deon volunteers with the IRS VITA Program, preparing free tax returns for underserved individuals and families and supporting financial empowerment in local communities.
